This 13x17 flat icon board with gesso is made of good quality linden wood, fortified with oak struts inserted in the thickness of the panel. It is carefully prepared for painting according to all the requirements of the tradition – two coats of hot rabbit skin glue, then gluing linen, then 12 layers of gesso made after classical recipe, proven in ages. The surface is perfectly suitable for using the egg tempera technique. Special attention is paid to the sanding process.
