We estimate that these old shears are from the late 1890s or early 1900s. They are thick and heavy and are made from cast iron. One of the ends is blunt, but we think this was intentional (as opposed to being broken) based on the fact that both ends are the same length. They are solid and heavy and rusty, but they still open and close nicely. Lastly, we've not sharpened them, so we don't know how well they cut. Great for display or for practical use (with sharpening, of course)
