This is 100% Carbon Fiber manufactured with a Toray T-300 3k tow which has a copper metalized coating applied to one side. This means that this carbon fiber cloth has been coated with real copper in a very fine mist which is thick enough to obtain the beauty of natural copper, but thin enough to let resin permeate the material and keep the fabric conformable. The face side is copper in color, whereas the other side is standard carbon fiber black with weblock skrim. This Fabric is a high density 3k carbon fiber based upon our F-1902-50-WL fabric. With a width of 50, tow size of 3k, woven in a 2x2 twill weave pattern, is the most commonly used pattern in the automotive industry. The material is a high density weave, which means it woven tighter than most of our competitors' fabrics, which along with the weblock stabilization, helps to ensure a straight weave and a better looking final product. To harden the raw fabric into a usable form, you will need the appropriate resin or epoxy for your project.
