Statice is a classic - it is a fantastic flower for drying and it always will be. It holds its shape and colour perfectly, and lasts for years and years. The little cup shaped blooms sit on long, sturdy stems that will not droop in humidity. I love the way these flowers look en masse - simply placed in a vase all on their own. As for bouquets and wreaths - I love they way they add such a rich splash of colour to creations.

Statice is an endearing flower, I think, because of its popularity over the years. This was the first flower for drying that I grew from seed in my own garden, so it will always be very special to me.
