The stitches for this design include a satin stitch for the nose and optional French knots for the eyes and all other stitches are a basic backstitch, making this kit and pattern extremely beginner friendly. See the two options in the photo. The top embroidery ring uses all four stitches for this pattern. The bottom embroidery ring only uses the two basic stitches, back stitch and satin stitch.
