But we need to protect our stovetops because they are very expensive if they break! With it being protected while stove is not in use, it does give you some extra space to work with as well. The upper layer is a Cotton Print and the bottom layer is a soft non-scratching thick felt that has some heat resistance. Bottom and inner layers are non-flammable which are extremely important considering that this pad is on your stovetop. Other pads out there are usually made with a cotton backing and are flammable! This pad has a dense inner lining layer, so it lays nice and flat but has added thickness for protection for your glass top to help protect not only from dust and scratches but from breakage from small items such as glasses or bowls being dropped directly onto the glasstop. Just roll it up or fold it and set aside when you when you want to use your stove top. Comes in a standard stove top size. Pad measurement is approximately 28.5" x 20.5". Please measure your stovetop before ordering. Hand wash or machine wash on gentle. Hang dry and iron on upper cotton side if desired or needed.
