This is a rare, vintage Singer sewing machine; mini child's version of the model 20. This cast iron miniature machine was also known as the Sew Handy; in production from the 1910's up until the 1970s. This version was built in the United Kingdom circa 1950s and is a hand crank model. The machines were marketed as a girl's first sewing machine, not as a toy. Many women learned how to sew using these machines back in the day. The machine is in good vintage condition with some rust and paint loss; and the machine still cranks, needle bar goes up and down (needle not included) and the presser foot operates. It has appears to have been stored for many years and includes table clamp, original box, and instruction manual. A nice addition to the sewing machine collection and a great display piece.
