Transtint or dye samples - Finishing - Wood Talk Online

I am considering doing some experimenting with Transtint dyes before I have to finish my current project (cherry). I was thinking about adding dye to shellac to see what kinds of effects I could get. Maybe other experiments, too. Problem is the cost of the bottles on sale on line is $16.40 each.
